The ASPR National Healthcare Preparedness Program (NHPP) has placed significant emphasis on response functions of healthcare coalitions (HCC) for several years. These functions are in various stages of maturation. To help HCCs integrate best practices from COVID-19 and help ASPR and NHPP leadership understand how to advance patient care coordination that aligns with the 2022- 2027 HPP Program Guidance, it is necessary to understand the functions that worked, those that did not, and those that should be serve as models for future responses.
ASPR TRACIE, in collaboration with NHPP, conducted a multi-phased effort to gather and analyze information to identify successes and challenges HCCs experienced during their pandemic response. This included a survey of all HCCs to followed by a series of focus groups and a virtual key informant session with stakeholders to identify promising practices, challenges, and lessons learned for HCC operations during the COVID-19 pandemic that would be applicable to future disaster responses.
This webinar will highlight the key findings from the project, how they will help to inform future HPP guidance, and how HCCs can use this information now to improve their future preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. Additionally, representatives from two HCCs will share their lessons learned from the pandemic and how the experience informs the evolution of their HCCs.
The webinar will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 2:30 PM ET.
