In 2020, Resources for Integrated Care (RIC) launched the Integrated Care Community of Practice (ICCoP). This learning community, which included 13 different plans serving individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, focused on management of member advisory councils and other opportunities for member engagement, and was open to health plans and other provider organizations seeking to incorporate meaningful member feedback into an organizational governance structure. The ICCoP included five sessions occurring between February and July 2020, with plan participants sharing challenges and discussing promising practices for engaging members in plan governance.
This ICCoP was open to staff with direct responsibility for engaging members at the plan or organization governance level (e.g., in the Board of Directors, a Consumer Advisory Committee, in quality improvement activities).
