RIC COVID-19 Vaccination Blog
Welcome to the Resources for Integrated Care (RIC) COVID-19 Vaccination blog series where we spotlight promising practices shared by health plans and other experts.
Individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid experienced COVID-19 at disproportionately higher rates when compared to Medicare-only beneficiaries, and faced barriers to accessing vaccination. This blog features efforts by providers and health plans to connect hard-to-reach individuals with COVID-19 vaccinations by addressing barriers such as complex health care issues, chronic conditions, and unmet social risk factors. Though the COVID-19 public health emergency ended on May 11, 2023, we encourage you to read about promising practices for COVID-19 vaccination captured in these blog posts, as they may be applicable for other vaccination efforts.
