ACL welcomes federal partners at the Health Resources and Services Administration’s HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) for a webinar titled: Leveraging Federal Partnerships to Support and Enhance Networks for Older Adults Who Are Aging with HIV.
This webinar will:
- provide an overview of the HAB Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP)
- share strategies implemented to improve assessing and addressing the healthcare and psychosocial needs of older adults who are aging in the RWHAP; and
- offer perspectives on how to engage older adults with HIV who are aging.
Dr. Laura Cheever (Associate Administrator) will describe the RWHAP legislation as well as the program’s purpose and structure. Antigone Dempsey (Director, Division of Policy & Data) will share the most recent (2020) RWHAP HIV and aging data. David Martin (he/him/his), Consumer-at-Large, HIV Health & Human Services Planning Council of New York, will provide a lived experience perspective on community engagement.
The targeted audience includes ACL grantees that include state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and institutions of higher education. A Q&A session will follow completing of the presentations but is open to the public.
