Long-term care providers may not always know how to best support LGBT individuals in ways that meet their needs and preferences. Understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBT individuals who need long-term services and supports can help providers adapt to better meet the needs of the individuals they serve.
This Resource Compendium is intended for providers— including nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, adult day programs, home care services, and others— who are interested in enhancing their capacity to provide culturally competent long-term services and supports for LGBT individuals.
