The Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM ET. The Balancing Choice and Risk training session will describe the dignity of risk and the importance and meaning of individual choice and self-determination; discuss why it is important to describe 3 individual-specific components and describe 3 systemic components. The session will also include a review of federal regulations that support the health and welfare of HCBS waiver participants and an overview of the 2018 Interagency Report entitled Ensuring Beneficiary Health and Safety in Group Homes through State Implementation of Comprehensive Compliance Oversight.
