Increasingly, health plans are assuming responsibility for providing behavioral health long-term services and supports (LTSS) for your Medicaid clients. In particular, health plans that serve Medicare-Medicaid enrollees may need to address the care needs of individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse disorder. As a result, health plans may be turning to organizations such as yours for behavioral health LTSS including health navigation, peer support, or developmental therapy.
